Urteriket is a new Norwegian brand that focuses on herbs. In former times herbs were regularly used, Urteriket is a modernization of an old tradition. The brand consists of a packaging with herbs and a tea strainer, and six separate and different glasses for herbal tea.

The main users are generally women, a feminine product, perfect as a gift. The designer have collaborated with Nordgard Aukrust in Lom, a farm that grows quality herbs of taste, look and fragrance and Hadeland Glassverk. The brand values are Norwegian nature, fairytale, mysticism, Norwegian handcraft and modernization of old traditions.

The packaging is a fairytale book that you open, inside you find a booklet with information about where the herbs are grown and 8 recipes; maybe you want a tea in the morning, in the evening or a love-brew? There are 20 different herbs that you mix in a tea strainer. The text is written in the local dialect from the place where the herbs are grown.

The herb-glasses have lids because the herbs must lie in the water from 5 to 10 minutes so the water don`t get cold. The lids are also decorative elements on the table. The design is inspired of fairytale castles, Norwegian nature and the slate-roofs in Lom. The glasses are produced at Hadeland Glassverk.
